So, I born with a long and hard-to-pronounce name: “Sakeyra Sharmin Khan Nipa.” To simplify things and make it easier to remember, before moving to Norway, I adopted the name “Nipa Akter”. “Akter” is a common addition to women’s names in my country, and my real surname is Khan.
